The tent is great. It's a neat setup. The lights, however, are a very underpowered. You can't take pictures with the lights alone. You will need an extra light source to take good pictures. I'm not a pro, but I tired all sorts of positions and camera settings but was unable to make it work with the lights alone.

Perfect set up for small item photography for publishing on website. Nice that I didn't have to make it myself. Good quality and very reasonable pricing. Would recommend this item to friends.

I bought this mostly for the light tent itself, but bought this particular unit instead of a less expensive unit offered on Amazon because of the brighter light stands. It turned out that they really weren't as bright as I hoped, so I will be looking for another pair of lights soon, but for what I needed them for originally, they did barely do the job. If you're expecting the camera tripod to be useful, don't. There's no way to fix the tripod legs into position. I'm not quite sure why someone would make a mini tripod meant to be mounted on a table with plastic feet that aren't in any way grippy. Yeah, I had to toss that and just use an old flexy tripod I had. To be fair, I wasn't expecting much from the tripod, but I was hoping it would be better than my $2 flexy tripod. It wasn't. The light tent is nice, and compacts well. I'd rate the light tent 4 stars, but since this is a package deal, I have to knock one of those off.
